Dear Friends,
Thank you
for your interest in and support of the Willamette Valley Community
Orchestra. Your generous financial support helps us to meet all of the
expenses incurred by an undertaking of this magnitude.
An ensemble such as the WVCO is expensive to develop and operate. Aside
from expenses of paying an honorarium for guest artists/soloists, there
are costs associated with advertising, scores and parts for the players,
program printing, brochure production, royalties, performance space
rental fees, royalty fees, annual memberships, and other expenses - all of which add up very quickly.
Each season, the interests of our audiences are considered by looking
at the repertoire, programs, and soloists that were the most successful,
maximizing the involvement of local talent, and re-working whatever
glitches occurred along the way. The season is scheduled so that it will
run smoothly and minimize conflicts with other concert series around the
Willamette Valley, while remaining affordable so that we can continue to
touch the lives of our friends and neighbors. It is my sincere hope that
these efforts have been and will continue to be successful.
We had an extremely
exciting inaugural season in 2007-2008. It truly was a season
of firsts! In order to fully meet our budgetary needs for the 2008-2009
season, we need to raise approximately $4,000.00.
We can only accomplish this goal
through the selling of advertising space in our program, corporate
sponsorships, ticket sales, and your generous donation. The WVCO is recognized by
both the
Secretary of State, Corporation Division, of the state of Oregon (Registry #506229-93) and
the Internal Revenue Service (EIN# 26-1974387) as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit
corporation with Public Charity status [170(b)(1)(A)(vi)],
making all contributions to the WVCO tax-deductible!
I hope that you will take a moment to consider supporting the Willamette
Valley Community Orchestra during its 2008-2009 Season. The criteria for the
various seasonal sponsorship levels are as follows:
• Concert Underwriter $2,000.00+
• Benefactor $1,000.00+
• Patron $750.00+
• Contributor $500.00+
• Donor $250.00+
• Friend $125.00+
• Member $75.00+
Any and all
contributions, regardless of their size, help to make our concert series
possible. Please feel free to contact us if you have any additional
questions about how you can help to support the WVCO.
